Ford Expresses Appreciation to Military with Available Discounts

To those who served our country by serving in the military, we salute you. Ford honors you as well by offering exclusive discounts to our beloved military families.

Ford’s military appreciation discount includes $500 in bonus cash towards the purchase of eligible new 2013, 2014, and 2015 Ford vehicles. To receive this discount, you must be an active duty service member, in the reserves, or retired within the last 180 days. And, you must request a certificate number on Ford’s website.

Once you receive your certificate, print it off, and take it to your preferred Ford dealer. The discount is also available to service members’ immediate family.

Every December Subaru does a sales event called the “Share the Love” event. Some of you have probably heard about this event, but just in case you haven’t, let us tell you! Basically, Subaru has five charities picked out that they will donate $250 to for every vehicle purchased or leased while the “Share the Love” Event is going on. Those charities are the Alzheimer’s Association, ASPCA, the Make a Wish Foundation, Meals on Wheels, and the USO.

And now, thanks to more than 100,000 new owners and over 620 Subaru dealerships, Subaru has now donated nearly $25 million to charity!

Every Long Islander suffered in one way or another from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, including all of us at Hassett Automotive of Wantagh. The one heartening aspect of this deadly storm was the way people across the Island came together to help each other get through those cold, dark days. Of course, our hearts go out to those still suffering in Sandy’s aftermath, along with hopes for a quick recovery.

At Hassett, we’re making it easier for our customers, and others, who experienced damage to, or the total loss of, their car, truck, or SUV during the storm — some suffered multiple vehicle losses —to get back on the road. We call it our “Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief” programs, and they’ve been set up to make it more affordable to replace vehicles that are no longer operable.

When is a commercial truck or van not just a commercial truck or van?

After Hassett gets through with it.  And once they do, it will be precisely what the plumber ordered. Or landscaper, electrician, or virtually any mobile professional.

“Hassett is uniquely qualified to customize a truck to suit the individual needs of virtually any contractor,” says Ken Vighi, Truck Sales Manager at Hassett Ford-Lincoln-Subaru in Wantagh. “We’re Long Island’s only commercial truck dealership with a dedicated Commercial Truck Service Center. “It’s a completely separate entity from our automotive service center as it handles just trucks, no cars.
